If you will be hooking up 4CO modules or 8EXT then the cover will need to be removed anyways. The Panasonic KX-TA1232 analog is the best solution for smaller businesses that do not require the advanced digital features associated with the KX-TD series, but still require the option of further expansion and growth. The KSU initially comes configured for 8 CO lines by 16 stations, and is expandable to 12 CO lines by 32 stations. The Panasonic KX-TA1232 coordinates the use of up to 12 CO lines and 32 extensions. The system can be used with system telephones (analog) or single line telephones (SLT) and even the Panasonic cordless models KX-T7880, KX-T7885, KX-TD7894, and KX-TD7895. Other KSU features include: Station Message Detail Recording (SMDR) for cost control and system management, Non-blocking, programmable system features and operation modes, Caller ID, Call Waiting, system administration and diagnostics capabilities, Direct Inward System Access (DISA) (allows outside callers to access the KX-TA1232), auto CO line hunt, 8-class toll restriction, 3-Way Conference Calling, and up to 4 Doorphones/Openers. Regardless if you are upgrading an old phone system, or installing a new one from scratch, your project will be much easier when done with the proper equipment and tools.
