I put a clear plastic cover over the screen before I left the store and put the phone itself in a protective case and have never removed either. It's as close to new condition as you could find for a used item. The iPhone is not unlocked but unlockable. The phone will be restored to factory conditions (except for latest software update) before shipping. As far as I can tell, all original packaging is intact, including box, charger, earphones. Battery life on the original iPhone has never been great, but--again--as far as I can tell--the battery strength is about the same as when originally purchased.
