The only dumb question is the one that didn't get asked and should have been, to save a lot of problems later. If you have any doubt on how to add pin codes and bonus codes, please try this method. It gives you a second chance to add bonus codes. It is much easier to read and use if it is printed out. Log onto www.tracfone.com and click on TracFone. There will be three information boxes on the right side of the screen. Click on the one that will state"already have TracFone, go" Near the top of the screen towards the left, click where it says "Buy/Add Air time" Type in the phone S N or as they call it sometimes E S N (electronic serial number). Now click where it says (have an air time card you would like to add?) Add air time. At this point you have choices. Go down to where it says "Want To Use The Web"and click on that!! Where it says "Enter Your Air Time  Pin Number" add it in the blank space for air time pin #1.Do not put spaces between numbers.  At the bottom where it says "promotional code" put in the 5 digit number. Double check all numbers to be sure they are ok. Click on continue. If everything works ok, the screen will show you what you got for minutes, bonus minutes and when the date is to add more time. If you get an error, the first thing you do is check your numbers. If they are ok and the problem is the pin number you will have to call 1-800-867-7183 and explain the problem so they can resolve it. If the bonus code "has been used on this phone" or "bonus code expired" try a different bonus code in place of the not valid one. Click continue again. This is your second chance. If you get an error this time, go to the back arrow in the top left corner and click it 4 times!!! This takes you out of TracFone without adding (or losing) anything. This means the cost per minute is less thru me. The best deal at this time is the one year card with 400 minutes plus 300 min bonus. At the local store  you get 1 year of service plus 400 min. for $99.99 = 25 cents per minute. W/DFMF card=12.5 cents/min. Me 400min +300 min bonus for 98.88= 14cents/min. W/DMFL card=9 cents/min. 200 min. cards at the local store =$39.99 = 20 cents/min. W/DMFL card=10 cents/min. Me-200+60bonus=260 min for $43.99=17 cents/min. W/DMFL card=9.6 cents/min. 120 min card at the local store  = $29.99 = 25 cents/min. W/DMFL card=12.5 cents/min. Me-120+60bonus-180 min for 33.99 = 19 cents/min.
